Kunfa a Turkish delight

Historical background:
Kunafa is a well-known Turkish dessert. It is a syrup soaked cheese pastry. Some say it dates back to the Ottoman Empire, others say its origin is from Turkey, Palestine, Egypt, or Greece Well, whatever it’s true origin, it is a favorite of many regions. Most languages in the Mediterranean and Middle East have a name for this dessert whether that be Kanafeh, Kanafe, Knafeh, Knafe, Kunafa, or Kunafah. Traditionally made from extra thin noodles of semolina flour, the Katafi we use in the recipe is a shredded phyllo dough that crisps up well and drinks in the heavy sugar syrup
BEFORE I START THE RECIPE IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT COOKING UTENSILS PLAY IMPORTANT ROLE IN TASTE &PRESENTATION...KUNFA IS USUALLY BAKED ON FLAT COPPER UTENSIL⭕..SO THAT IT IS BAKED VERY WELL AND ALL TASTE IS PRSERVED WELL☺
Ingredients
2packs of vermicelli
Cream cheese (150 grams)
For replacement I changed it with my version of CUSTARD creamy layer{custard powder pistachio flavour +normal milk cream blend it together &u will get nice creamy filling)
Sugar =1&1/2CUP(FOR SUGAR SYRUP)
Green Cardamom POWDER.
UNSALTED BUTTER OR GHEE FOR GREASING
PISTACHIO POWDER AS PER TASTE
FOR GARNISHING
ALMONDS
CASHEW NUTS
PREPARATION
FOR CREAM CHEESE :ITS EASILY AVAILABLE FROM MARKET (OR) U CAN TRY A NEW VERSION OF CUSTARD CREAM FILLING.
FOR CUSTARD CREAM: 1/2 CUP OF DAILY MILK CREAM +2TEASPOON OF PISTACHIOS CUSTARD POWDER +2TEASPOONS OF POWERED SUGAR,2PINCH OF ELACI POWDER MIX IT WELL WITH THE HELP OF BLENDER..U WILL GET A THICK NICE CREAMY FILLING.
FOR KUNAFA
Grease a copper plate with ghee or unsalted butter now place a thick layer of vermicelli on it add pistaco powder on it ,and tightly packed it ni space shld be left empty then place a layer of cream cheese or custard cream filling ...and then again place a layer of vermicelli on it {vermicelli+cream cheese+vermicelli),then place this plate on slow heat so that it bakes slowly,similarly another side will be baked in a same way by placing a plate over it and turning it to upside down.When u will get a light nice roasting aroma turn off the flame garnish it will almonds &cashenuts .and add hot piping sugar syrup over it...once u put hot sugar syrup over it the kunafa will automatically relase from copper plate cast.
