 HadithAnas (ra) reported: “God’s Messenger used to like pumpkin. If a dish of bread, meat and broth was put before him, and it contained pumpkin, he would pick up the pumpkin. I do like to eat pumpkin because the Prophet loved it.”(Ibn Majah and Al-Darimi.)

Jabir narrated from his son Hakem “I entered the Prophet’s home and I saw pumpkin being cut into pieces. I asked what that was for. He said: ‘Something we put in our food to increase it.’” (Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah.)

Ingredients

1.pumpkin 1 medium size

2 baby tomatoes(8)

3.green chillies(chopped3-4)

4.1large onion (paste)

5.ginger garlic paste,

6tamarind (1tea spoon of paste in I cup of hot water)

7.fresh  chopped mint leaves

8.2-3 cloves

9.cumin seeds 2 tea spoon

10.turmeric powder(1 tea spoon)

11.red roasted chillie paste 1table spoon

12.oil 3table spoon

13.coriander powder 1 tea spoon.

Preparation.

1.clean a medium size pumpkin &cut into small cube(so that it can cook easily)

2.now heat oil in pain ,add all dry spices to it ,onces it starts popping out add ginger garlic ,baby tomatoe paste &onion paste .let it cook for 15 minute on high flame.

3.now add freshly chopped pumpkin cubes to it{ to maintain the real taste of pumpkin I didnt par boiled it or fryed it,its optional either u can boil &fry it &then add to gravy or u can directly add to gravy)

4.mix it well &add turmeric,coriander powder to it cook it for 10 min.

5 then add red chilli paste &salt to it give it a fry for 5mint then add tamarind,mint leaves water to it.cover it with lid&let it simmer for 20 mints till u get nice thick spicy tangy with soft mouth melting pumpkin gravy..served best with Roti...🤪
