The chicken has yogurt, cream to provide the richness and creamy taste to the chicken. Making Afghani chicken at home is relatively easy. Super creamy and a different style of recipe for cooking chicken. This chicken dish goes great with jeera rice, roti, or naan. One of the most popular dishes in Afghani cuisine is this chicken dish. Because in Ancients days Afghanistan is a trade route between Europe and Asia, Afghan food is heavily impacted by Indian, Mongolian, and Persian influences.
Afghani chicken can be made variety number of ways. The flavours of afghani chicken is creamy, which has yogurt, cream, (some kind of nuts like almonds, cashews or melon seeds,) (optional)dried fenugreek leaves. The marinade is mellow and subtle.
We can cook this dish in two ways
1.if ur having very less time u can directly put whole marination on slow heat. Nd let it simmer till the gravy turns thick and releases all the oil from sides if pan
2 you can remove marinated chicken pieces and let it fry till it turns golden brown and add smoky flavour to it.. And then add the rest of the marination paste to it and let it simmer
[ For me i prefer the 2nd one.. Because it turns out to be more smoky in flavour and is more creamy,and Succulent]
