Homemade Kulad Kalakand /Milkcake
There is only one difference between a long life and a good dinner: that, in the dinner, the sweets come last.
Kalakand is an Indian sweet made out of solidified, sweetened milk called Khoa .
Today iam going to use a cuddled milk for this desert and will b serving in earthen pots /kulad...
So let's start.
Ingredients
Milk 2 kilo
Ghee 2 tablespoon
Shah e kehwa powder 1 teaspoon
Honey 2 teaspoon /palm sugar
Dry fruits
Some sweet like barfi or khoya (optional)
Prep.
Boil the milk,keep onstiring so that it doesnt stick to bottom.
Now add few drops of lemon/ginger,and keep on moving the spatula so that whole milk gets cuddled.
Now pour this liquid through muslin cloth and drain all the water.
Now take a non stick pan,and pour the cuddled milk(cheese) in to it .now stire and mesh it properly so that no lump remains
Now add rest of the Ingredients and keep on stirring so that it does not stick to the bottom of pan,till it change its co our from.white to creamy thick dessert
Now grease the earthen.pot with ghee and pour all the thick ,chewy and glazing kalakand in to pots and garnish it with rest of dry fruits and decorate it with silver or golden paper...... Yum yum yum.
